OUR STORY
This is the heartwarming story of Chuy and Alex, two individuals whose lives were intertwined through their shared passion for ice cream. It all began in 1993 when Chuy opened his first ice cream shop in Huamantla, Mexico, on the very same day he arrived in town. Little did he know that this humble beginning would mark the start of something truly special. After marrying Rebecca, Chuy and his wife moved to the United States, where he pursued a career in construction. But the memories of making ice cream in Mexico never left his heart.
THE LEGEND
The dream of opening a new shop lingered for years until, in 2018, Chuy and Rebecca fulfilled their lifelong ambition. They proudly unveiled La Michoacana USA in Roswell, Georgia, carrying on the family tradition of crafting delightful frozen treats.
HUMBLE BEGININGS
During his high school years, Alex had the privilege of assisting Chuy in making ice cream and selling popsicles at various events. Life took him on a different path when he embarked on a religious mission in California for two years. Upon his return, Alex pursued a degree in civil engineering, but fate had a surprise in store.An exciting business opportunity emerged, and Chuy entrusted Alex to explore its potential. Recognizing the incredible possibilities, Alex presented the opportunity to Chuy, who agreed that he should seize it. With Chuy's blessings and a hands-off approach, Alex embarked on a new chapter. Using the same name and cherished recipes, he built his own independent business, shaping it according to his own vision and passion.
TODAY
The legacy of La Michoacana USA thrives, thanks to the collective efforts and unwavering support of Chuy, Alex, and their dedicated family members. Together, they own and operate two cherished locations, each one a testament to their shared commitment. This remarkable journey wouldn't have been possible without the integral roles played by Tiffany, Rebecca, Araceli, Catherine, Matthew, and Rocio.
